Food Technology

Studying Food and Nutrition at The Royal

At The Royal, Food Technology courses begin in Year 7. The idea behind the course is to educate students about consumer education as well as teach students about cooking; it also involves nutrition, food hygiene and food safety, food preservation and managing money.  Opportunities also exist to visit food retail premises. Results have been across the board but are usually amongst some of the highest results for individual students.
