Enrichment

Our extracurricular provision provides an extensive range of opportunities for all primary age children to broaden their experiences, develop creative skills and take their interests further.

All activities take place from 3:45-4:45pm and a variety of different clubs are offered each term, so there is always the chance for the children to try out something new.

The extended day we offer is part of what makes us a unique and exciting place to learn and grow.  We offer around 55 clubs and activities each term, encompassing a vast range of interests and hobbies.  Staff are encouraged to share their own interests with children through after school activities, and we encourage our children to try new things every term.

Some examples of our after-school activities are:

  • Rock-Climbing
  • Archery
  • Cardboard engineering
  • Modern Dance
  • Ukulele
  • Performing Arts
  • Dodgeball
  • Orienteering
  • Quidditch
  • Jewellery-making and Arts and Crafts.

After-school activities are as much part of the curriculum for us as English and Maths.  We believe it is these new and challenging experiences which help our students grow and develop, as well as unlock hidden talents.  We encourage children to bring their interests into the classroom, be that through leading a PE activity, using dance to demonstrate fractions or becoming a ‘leader of learning’ to teach classmates (and teachers) a new skill.  This link between curricular and extracurricular activities forms a key part of developing the whole child, and building the confidence of our pupils by showcasing and giving equal weighting to their strengths in every area of the school day.
