Special Educational Needs at The Royal School

The work of the SEND department involves a wide range of activities in order to support staff, pupils and parents so that barriers can be identified, and pupils are enabled to achieve in line with their potential. This work includes assessment of individual needs; supporting and teaching pupils; collaborating and liaising with members of various departments at school as well as with outside professionals.

Our work with parents and carers is a vital element of our role and enables them to have confidence in the knowledge that their children’s needs are being met. We view our parental work as an important partnership.
